Hi, this is a great app! I've been looking for something like this for sometime after i lost my last phone. Works ideally how i would want it to. I dont have an active data connection because i dont want to pay for one. So I am trying to use sms for the reply method. But i dont want it to be sent to a cell phone but instead send it to my email via sms. I know i can send it to my email account, it worked no problem, but when i tested it with this it failed to send it. Also, when you send the trigger message i dont know if when the screen blacks out if the gps is still able to track. I know on the touch pro that when you are using gps you cant let the screen black out or it disables the gps. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Arun, I'll release a fix for the q9h (WinMo standard) in a couple of days.
Brett, you must have data connection for emails. If you have option to send sms from you mobile to a phone number that then translate to email, then this should work for smartphonetracker as well.
The gps will stay on until there is a fix but no more then 5 min. even if the screen black out.
great app, i installed on verizon htc touch pro, installs fine, have all the settings correct, location on, i have vz navogation, works fine, gps works fine on it, when i go to show gps, show cell, update gps, it cant connect to gps, (null) i wait five minutes, no connection, any help would be great thanks in advance.
Jon, please download the latest version 1.34.
Make sure you check it when have a clear view of the sky. other wise you won't get gps reception.
If still not working please send error report - Menu->Help>Send Error report

yaniv, tell me something, whats the point to this program, it cant pick up gps reception while i have the phone, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK IT WILL PICK UP GPS RECEPTION IF THE PHONE IS LOST OR STOLEN!!!!!
and buy the way it wont work with verizon at all, locked up like fort knox, the only way the gps will initialize on your program is if i run VZNAVIGATION, then toggle between the two programs
Jon, SmartphoneTracker works on the touch pro and get a GPS fix.
You can try the "Auto detect GPS" (save settings when done)
yaniv, its been on auto detect the hole time, then i tried com 4, but still nothing, the gps tries to initialize, no lat. long. 000000

I have loaded the program on my HTC Toch pro and send SMS when I try manually (send sms to) but when sms code "getgpspos" so it does not send any sms or email
what this may be due to?

Leif, make sure you have the latest version 1.36.
If you still have problem you can send error report (Menu->Help->Send error report).

issue: when sending via anonymous sms messaging, the program crashes during reply to sender by text. i'd like to see a solution, since I prefer text response. But if i don't have a phone, i'd like to access via internet text messaging services (such as sprint's online text messaging).

Peter, I'll fix that next version.
meanwhile you can uncheck the reply to sender and enter a number for SMS notification. or uncheck sms to cancle sms notification.
